With origins in the 1950s, Carter BloodCare is one of Texas' largest independent blood centers, providing life-saving blood components and transfusion services to over 200 healthcare facilities in North, Central, and East Texas. Each year, we deliver more than 440,000 blood components to meet patients’ transfusion needs.
Carter BloodCare Specialty Services uses innovative medical technology to meet, and exceed, the needs of the healthcare partners we serve. Our proficiency, commitment and compassion for the patient instills trust and confidence.
We are one of only three AABB IRL accredited labs based in Texas, offering simple to complex antibody identification, compatibility testing, antigen negative units, red blood cell genotyping, centralized transfusion services, flow cytometry and specialized platelet matching services. Carter BloodCare also has a FACT-accredited cellular therapy laboratory.
